Focusing on life:Foodie

Week 22 of focusing on life Sally at http://thestudiosublime.com/  prompted us with the word foodie. This was an easy prompt for me. I made homemade vegetable bread the day before Sally's prompt. This is one of my families favorite things. As you can see it doesn't last long. around here. A piece of veggie bread toasted with peanut butter on it is heaven on earth. We used to buy it in the town where  my son went to  college. Then the store stopped making it so now I make it at home. It's a treat for us.

  6. Becky, that veggie bread looks divine. When we are back in Pennsylvania, we buy Amish butter from a local store and I think it would go great with your bread. Yum!

    1. Patty, I agree. Homemade bread is the best. I have made most of our bread for several years now. A bread machine sure makes it easy.

  10. I think it must not have sold well because the store dropped it. It is really tasty though. I'm pretty creative and I can figure almost anything out.

  11. I love the sound of veggie bread and yours looks really good. What sort of veggies go into it? I bet it hardly gets a chance to get cool before it's gone! By the way, I also LOVE your crocheted bed spread in your last post - it is absolutely beautiful and so special as it came from your grandmother.

  12. Thanx Diane. It is a mix of dried veggies. There are pieces of carrot, peppers, green beans and more. Yes it goes fast. I'm glad that you like my bedspread. It means really a lot to me. It's memories of my Grandma and my Aunt.
