I am also a gardener. I showed the buds on my peony last week. This week they are blooming. Oh the fragrance is intoxicating. Yes it rained last night so I got a shot of water drops on the leaves that I always admire in other peoples pics. I hope you enjoyed my definition of me and now it's time to see how the other participants in the challenge see themselves. Please use Sally's link above.

oh look at the gorgeous peony! our's are all gone now in the yard - they bloom so quickly! I know what you mean about beading. I can sew, and crochet and macrame ... but beading is where it all comes together for me. I especially love mixing it up!
ReplyDeleteThanx Cynthia. Yes beads truly are my passion.
DeleteBeautiful photos! I would love to dive into that pool of beads!!!
ReplyDeleteThanx Alice.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a beader or a gardener, but I so appreciate and admire those who are!
ReplyDeleteThanx Annette. It's always feels good to have others appreciate what I do.
DeleteThe fragrance of Peonies is sooooooo wonderful. Had them in NJ but not here. Enjoy every moment of them (while you bead away, of course).
ReplyDeleteYes the peony is right under the window where I sit and bead so I get to smell them a lot.
DeleteTwo pretty pictures to let us know who you are. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanx Beti
DeleteWhat a lovely collection of beads - I love using them in my textile work and I understand your passion for them. The peony is stunning and I love the water droplets on it.
ReplyDeleteThanx Diane. I am very pleased with the beads that Michelle sent. I love digging through mixes. I am proud of my flowers.
DeleteI also plan my trips so I visit bead stores and I also like to visit junk stores, trying to find unique thing to incorporate into my designs. Great shot of your peonies.
ReplyDeleteI am a junk store shopper too. In fact I just came from a new one that opened in my town today. Thanx I am glad that my peony is finally blooming. They smell so good.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics - both of them!! Love the water droplets you captured! Beads and jewelry make up a lot of who I am too. It's so wonderful to see what every is posting this week - it was definitely one of the more challenging ones for me.
ReplyDeleteThanx Shel.I agree it has been very interesting to get to know everyone who is participating.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures - I think many of us will find themselves in jewelry/beads and flowers this week :) The rain on your blooming peonies is beautiful. Peonies are one of my favourite flower!
ReplyDeleteThanx Alicia. I like peonies too. This one is right under my window so I get to smell it everyday.
DeleteMy peonies don't even have buds... maybe they won't bloom this year .. they don't always.. everything is lasting so well this year since it is so cool... and the deer have been better behaved than usual too although they did eat my hosta this week!
ReplyDeletelast year my lilacs didn't bloom because it got 80 when they were ready. Mother nature has her own mind. My son got a motion activated sprinkler to scare the deer away from his garden. So far it has worked.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I too love flowers and beads. I can't tell you how many pics of flowers and plants I have on my computer..... Thanks for posting for us.

Thanx Vera. I too have lots of flower and bead pics on my computer.
DeleteSuch lovely shots and such a lovely way to see yourself. Your dedication to beading is awesome. I'm a beader too, but beading each day can be tough. I think it's great that you make such an effort with it!
ReplyDeleteThanx Hope. I am at a place in my life where I can choose what I do each day. Beading is usually my first choice.
ReplyDeleteThe peony is stunning. I would so love flowers but it seems such a shame to put them behind wire and fence but the goats. Always the goats!
ReplyDeleteThanx Patty. I agree that the goats would eat them. I had a goat many years ago but he wasn't a well mannered as yours are. He jumped on the roof of a vehicle that my husband had just got done painting.
DeleteI love peonies but they don't last long, do they? Beautiful shots. I love all those lovely blue beads!
