Focusing on Life: Minimalist

Welcome to another year of focusing on life. The prompt for this week was minimalist. To me the bottom line is seed beads. This is where it usually starts for me. I really enjoy bead weaving and bead embroidery so my selection of seed beads is usually the beginning of the design process for me. I would be lost without my seed beads. To see what other found to be minimalist please check out our gracious hostess Sally Russick's blog

    1. Hi Lynn I will post it on January 15th. It is for the A Time To Stitch 4 challenge hosted by Therese Frank and Christine Altmiller. The colors were selected from a polymer piece which I got from Paula Kramer.I am not totally satisfied with the lightest green color. I may try to get to the bead store and find a better color.

  3. I like the double edge meaning to your post. Bead embroidery is also one of my favorite ways to express myself in beads.

    1. Thanx Shel, If I had signed in and read Sally's instructions instead of just looking at her website.I would have photographed a single focal bead. But it would still have been a bead. Beads really are seeds for my creativity. They hold a whole world inside of them.

  6. I used to work with them but they would drive me INSANE. Between my very bad eyesight and my not having feeling in my hands you can only imagine what it's like to try and work with them.....

    1. Thanx Judith, The colors came off of the polymer piece which will be the focal. I do think that they are interesting together. I am learning to be more adventurous with colors.
