Focusing on Life: I am ___

I am______ was the prompt from Sally at http://thestudiosublime.com/ for this weeks focusing on life. It's fill in the blank like when we were in school. We were supposed to take pics of who were are. Looking at how we define ourselves can sure get you thinking. First and foremost I am a beader. I try to bead something every day. I read bead related stuff daily and plan my trips to the cities to include a bead store whenever I can. In beads I have found my passion. I have crafted all of my life but beads seem to incorporate all that I have learned from other crafts and more. The beads above came from a pay it forward by Michelle Mach. I had them out this week looking for the perfect bead to incorporate in one of the projects I am working on. Yes I often have several projects going at once.
I am also a gardener. I showed the buds on my peony last week. This week they are blooming. Oh the fragrance is intoxicating. Yes it rained last night so I got a shot of water drops on the leaves that I always admire in other peoples pics. I hope you enjoyed my definition of me and now it's time to see how the other participants in the challenge see themselves. Please use Sally's link above.

  1. oh look at the gorgeous peony! our's are all gone now in the yard - they bloom so quickly! I know what you mean about beading. I can sew, and crochet and macrame ... but beading is where it all comes together for me. I especially love mixing it up!

  12. My peonies don't even have buds... maybe they won't bloom this year .. they don't always.. everything is lasting so well this year since it is so cool... and the deer have been better behaved than usual too although they did eat my hosta this week!

  13. last year my lilacs didn't bloom because it got 80 when they were ready. Mother nature has her own mind. My son got a motion activated sprinkler to scare the deer away from his garden. So far it has worked.

  15. Such lovely shots and such a lovely way to see yourself. Your dedication to beading is awesome. I'm a beader too, but beading each day can be tough. I think it's great that you make such an effort with it!

  17. The peony is stunning. I would so love flowers but it seems such a shame to put them behind wire and fence but the goats. Always the goats!

    1. Thanx Patty. I agree that the goats would eat them. I had a goat many years ago but he wasn't a well mannered as yours are. He jumped on the roof of a vehicle that my husband had just got done painting.
