If you have been following my blog you know that I am participating in Sally Russick's
(http://thestudiosublime.com/ )Focusing on life 52 photos. Sally's prompt this week is close up. She wanted us to use the macro setting on our camera. My choice is this peacock feather that sits on my desk in a wine bottle. It has such beautiful color and you can see each feather individually. Isn't it beautiful?
Very pretty! I love the colors and that you can see the feathers individually!! so cool
ReplyDeleteThanx Cynthia, I love the colors too. that's why I chose it to photograph.
DeletePeacock feathers are so pretty but they are suppose to be very unlucky to own. I just saw your curve pictures... we've had that much snow a couple of times this winter but our snow comes and goes quite regularly being on the coast... usually when it comes it's wet and heavy... think shoveling concrete!
ReplyDeleteI have heard that they are unlucky. This one came from a friend who raised they and was shed naturally. Well the snow is finally melting and the ice is gone from my driveway. That's a start toward spring.
DeleteBecky, I couldn't access your blog throught the link on Sally's blog so I came in the back door using your profile.
ReplyDeleteYour photo is beautiful. I have a thing for peacock feathers with their beautiful colors.
Thanx for letting me know that my link doesn't work. I look at my peacock feather often.
ReplyDeleteSO gorgeous Becky! I adore peacock feathers; my mother used to ban them from the house because of superstitions...maybe that's what makes them so attractive to me LOL. I see Alicia mentioned that your link is not working~I was going to tell you the same.
ReplyDeleteThanx lori, I guess i must need to delete my link and try entering it again. Several people have said it doesn't work.

ReplyDeleteThanx Alicia,my peacock feather was the most interesting thing I could think of that looked good up close.
DeleteI had problems getting here too. Your photo reminded me of when I was a ballet dancer, I had a costume covered with peacock feathers. Loved the costume and the lovely colours of the feathers but hated the dancing for the part. I don't care if they are considered bad luck they are beautiful!
