There is a very talented polymer clay artist named Alenka Obid whose work I admire. Her blog is having it's first anniversary. To celebrate she asked jewelry artists to make something with one of her beautiful clay pieces. Mine arrived in yesterdays mail. Isn't it wonderful? It has such great texture doesn't it? The subtle hint of orange at the bottom of my connecter adds to it's charm. I already have ideas starting to form for the piece I will create. If you would like to see what I make please come back on August 11. To see more of Alenka's beautiful clay pieces please visit her blog at http://pepita-handmade.blogspot.ca/

  1. Hi Becky,
it was so fun to make those curly components and it's even more interesting to see which one goes to each participant!
I'm sure you will make something special with it - can't wait to see the final result!
    Have fun!

  6. Thanx Cindy. Yellow is not my best color but I have been working with it more in the last year and I am warming up to it. I do like this bright component.I have a couple of ideas running around in my head for this component. Now I just have to choose which one and perfect the details.
