The very talented Sally Russick of The Studio Sublime prompt for this weeks focusing on life challenge was monochrome. This week finds me longing for warmer weather since the last round of snowstorms. I looked out my front window and saw the ice hanging off the barbeque grill and wished it was warmer so I could use it. I wanted to see right through those icicles to summer. Before this hop I thought everything was better in color. Thanx Sally for helping me to see better.
Oh boy I hear that! I couldn't take the cold and escaped to SF for the week! Great photo
ReplyDeleteSF sounds heavenly. I'm glad you liked my pic.
DeleteAll you have to do is wait! Great picture.
ReplyDeleteThanx Beth. The snow and ice on the grill were gone later in the day. I am waiting for warmer weather though.
DeleteThe grill looks so forlorn there with ice hanging off of it.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought. It was appropriate for what I was feeling.
DeleteOur grill is one of the few snow free items around here... I don't care how nasty it is outside... the grill gets lit if we're having something that can be cooked on it! Sometimes the wind defeats us but not often! Yours looks very depressed!
ReplyDeleteYes that's what I thought when I looked out. I grill on nicer days too even in the winter.
DeleteLove the grill covered in snow! Spring will be here soon! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what i keep telling myself.
ReplyDeleteI know everyone is tired of snow, but I so enjoy all the snow photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that I can give you pleasure.
DeleteThe neglected grill waiting eagerly for warmer weather. Looks great in B&W.
ReplyDeleteThanx Cynthia
DeleteGreat photo! It makes me cold just looking at those icicles. Hope summer comes fast enough for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure summer will come and then it is superb here.
DeleteBrrrr! Not exactly grilling weather for you!! I'm sure it will be lovely when you can thaw it out and fire it up!! Nothing quite like a Summer bbq. :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree. We do grill on nice winter days.
DeleteQuite the evocative shot! I'm right there with you thinking of warmer days hoping to melt that ice with a good long stare
ReplyDeleteThanx It did melt and the last couple of days have been nice.Which makes me feel better.
ReplyDeleteA familiar sight in my world as well. I'm tired of snow and anxious for spring color. Hopefully soon right?
ReplyDeleteI'm anxious for spring too. I love the color and smell of flowers.
Deleteoh my! just looking at this photo makes me cold!! i hope it warms up soon... a great shot, though :)
ReplyDeleteYes Claire, I hope it warms soon too.My pic didn't have the depth I was looking for but it conveyed what I was feeling.
DeleteOh wow! That's a lot of snow! I am hoping to see a picture of some fresh veggies grilling there soon!!
ReplyDeleteYes Minnesota gets a lot of snow. We get to experience all 4 seasons fully. LOL. I do like fresh grilled veggies.
ReplyDeleteWhat a juxtaposition! I suppose you could start the grill simply to melt the icicle's, but it would be a bit chilly for the chef! Here's hoping you get warmer weather in the not too distant future!
ReplyDeleteThanx Karen, Things are melting today. Spring is still a way off here but I'm waiting.
ReplyDeleteLooks much like our back deck LOL! I'm SO over it...but it's a great picture! Pray for sun....
ReplyDeleteIt has been sunny here since shortly after I took the pic. Yeah.
ReplyDeleteI love snow...this is nice..

I'm glad someone likes snow. I'm getting sick of it. I spent 2 hours plowing my driveway yesterday.
